I am moved by what you wrote. Very true that one need not run away from anything, for the God's kingdom is within! Unless told by a Sadguru, one should never stop working for earning one's own bread. the only other option is to have Very strong vairagya which will automatically pull one away from Samsara.

Dear Somayajulu (whoami) garu,

I also had similar thoughts 5 years back to leave job and join as lecturer in vidyanagar etc., and decided to quit. In fact I told my manager too. But things went in different direction. Over the years what I learnt is this:

1. As Master says in one of his speeches, live in this world and as the stream of world flows on you, all impurities will be washed away if you stick to the path. Living in midst of all in-favorable conditions and still sticking to the path is nothing but tapas. If we can see Him in all in all circumstances at any moment then it is the way.

2. Master explains in speeches that even after becoming a sanyaasi, vijayanada swami could not leave attachment. Similarly the sadhu who scolded the little girl who occupied his seat in Dwarakamai. Even if we leave all and go somewhere still nothing can be achieved since the very want of being in the place (say himalayas) shows the attachment to that place and attachment to that lifestyle. It goes against basic principle of "Allah Malik" and "Devudu ekkada unchithe alaa undaali" or "where & how God keeps, we should be like so".

3. Master also says in speeches that dharma starts with seeing Him in all and ends with sitting in front of Guru (i.e., like the opportunity that Baba got to sit in front of Guru and gaze Him for 12 years ?)

4. It also reminds me of Sri Venkayya swamy telling his sevaka named venkayya when venkayya met swamiji. He said, "All your runanubandhas are over. Come to me." and venkayya left everything and did Guru seva till end. It shows that Guru gives call to the eligible person when the time comes. Our only duty is to come out of raaga and dwesha and see Baba in all.

5. It also has got different facet. Sri Aurabindo powerfully voices about vedic way of living. I will post the quote when I come across it next time. It talks about leading a life where one lives household life according to divine will and leads blissful life without running away from life that budhism and sankara's monism taught. (No criticism here. Sankara infact talks of sanyaasi life only for those who have purified their minds thru vedic way of living and GuruSeva and in many of the books He states that the prerequisite for reading it is that. I guess similar thing might be there for budhism. But many of us read them without eligibility and spoil thinking process) If we study Prabodhamrutham, we understand that Master also says the same thing.

6. Above all, it is because of Master having shown us the gruhastha life that we are here otherwise many of us too would have left jobs and household life, causing trouble to our parents.

7. I also want to quote what Sri Ramachandraji maharaj told to his disciple Sri Rajaji Maharai (Sri Ramachandra Mission fame): He told about a disciple of His Guru who used to attend all his duties. If the Guru has to go to toilet in the middle of night, the disciple used to get an impulse to keep the water with bucket and used to wait with bucket of water. He used to remember always about Guru that much. Then Rajaji asked why then that particular disciple did not become the Guru's successor but He (i.e,. Sri Ramachandraji. Sri Rajaji regrets later for asking such question which undermines his Guru's capability in comparison with that of others). For which Sri Ramachndraji says calmly: "Any moth can burn itself in hot fire. But rare is the moth that can burn itself in cold fire." (Means any aspirant can behave great in the presence of a Mahatma but rare is the sadhaka who behaves so in His physical absence. It is worthy to note that many years after his Guruji left His physical body, Sri Ramachandraji came into light and established the mission.)

PS: Some, who know about this mission may oppose saying they are against idol worship. But to me they also follow what our Master says: Follow 100% of what your Guru says. In such case if Guru says meditate but do not do idol worship then follow it. They also say, "Even if the Guru beats you still stick to his feet. Surrender completely". This is regarding Guru. I have also seen many other similarities.
