I suggest you concentrate on lives of Mahatmas that Master wrote
Dear Dwaraka Uncle, You said to concentrate on the lives of Mahatmas. I'm thinking that the difference between Mahatmas and god is that Mahatmas worship god and god doesn't worship anybody.Is that right ?? But who is superior Mahatmas or god ?? What are the qualities that god and Mahatmas have ?? Asterias Uncle asked me what was god?? I did not know the answer to that question. Can you please tell me. Since 2nd grade I have been having this problem.In school when we were watching a video about volcanos the video said that Hindus put Shiva's statue on volcanos so they don't erupt.After listening to this the boy that sits by me asked me if that was our kind of god and I said yes and he that our kind of god isn't real,and he added that it said that in the bible. I didn't say anything but I was very angry  . What should I say the next time some one says something like that ??Should I say that in our kind of holy book (like the Bible)says that all kinds of gods are equal ?? |

Dear srusti and lalitha garu, First, thank you both so much, for agreeing to start new threads. Especially at work places or schools, A good way is not going into the details of religion with someone not from similar background... and never never argue on religion with anyone regardless of who is correct and who is wrong. Tell her that if their God is the true God your prayers will reach him ...because your prayers are as true as their God is......also tell her its intolerence to say things like that as there are many people in the world who believe in holy books other than the bible.......
Tell him that our kind of God and their kind of God are one and the same.....that what our bible says...

Srusti, actually, Sai Master says that there is no difference between God and Mahatmas. So, there is no question of superiority over one another. It is different forms of looking at the same ONE BEING! I think we were discussing the same thing in another thread a couple of months back and we were taking the example of a person to all his/her relatives. For example, you are a daughter to your mother, you are a sister to your brother and a friend to outsiders. In the same way, we see God in many ways. For example, we see Lord Vinayaka and attribute some qualities to Him. Because God has made this possible that we are able to associate the qualities. Othewise how can we worship Him? In the same way, Mahatmas come down to Earth to give us the proper meaning of life and how to lead our life in the correct way so that we are not mis lead. And Mahatmas come down to Earth only because we can associate God in a easy that we humans can understand. I hope I did not confuse you by my words. As for Asterias uncle's question of what is God, it's a tough question, but let us all see, if you can come up with various answers. Please do not hesitate to attempt your answers, because Dwaraka Babu garu is always there to give us the correct answers if we go wrong. In all probability, we will get to learn something from you. No uncle you wouldn't learn anything from me. Thank you for explaining that to me.Now I see that Mahatmas and god are not different and they are the same. And Mahatmas come down to earth to give us the proper meaning of life and how to lead our life in the correct way so that we are not mislead.

As for Asterias uncle's question of what is God, it's a tough question, but let us all see, if you can come up with various answers. Please do not hesitate to attempt your answers, because Dwaraka Babu garu is always there to give us the correct answers if we go wrong.
Asterias uncle and Ananth Uncle you asked me what god is I'm trying to answer your questions with the clue that Ananth Uncle gave me. 1.God is mahatma,and mahatmas are god. 2.Animals + Humans + everything = god. 3.He/she always lives everywhere,in everything,and in everyone. 4.He/she grants our wishes it we need it. 5.He/she gives us hints about how to live like. 6.He/she helps us. 7.He/she tests us. 8.He/she is the most superior to everything. 9.He/she is the strongest. 10.We worship them. 11.He/she defeats bad guys. 12.Has patience with us. 13.Punishes us for bad deeds. 14.Is always good. 15.Was the first one in the universe. Uncles I'm just trying please correct me. |

Complete God testing a part of God is a good answer in my view. In the beginning there was single unity/God/grandiose whatever you call it. In order to see his/her/its own creation, he/she/it had to multiply. Even in Sri Guru Charitra, Master explained, "Srushti kosam avatarinchina vaaru..and then gives the names of the sages". In Purusha Sookta Rahasyamu, by Master garu, the first seven sages went into bliss instead of pushing forward with the creation. Then God had to create more sages and then the creation started. I am sorry I did not put it in a correct way, because Purusha Sookta Rahasyam is so tough to understand. So, just on this part, I would urge the reader to not take my statement about Purusha Sookta Rahasam at face value but to actually read it. Just for that reason, you will gain incredible knowledge. In the same way, there may be times when God tests us for our purity. I might be wrong but again, in my view, God never tests us in material things. God in the form of a mahatma tests us for our purity and how far we can go in serving HIM. And when we come out with flying colors, than more happy for a Sadguru that His own part is being tested and pass!! So, I learnt something today. Is material also not part of God??? How far can "WE" serve "HIM" .... Dont "we" have to know "we" first to know "HIM"... well quiet frankly I have been thinking hard, when I came up to answering this innocent question on this forum... and I just reiterated my understanding, that "i" understood nothing..... quiet frankly regarding complete and part God, is a is a very good answer, the only thing is I just didnot understand....  As whoami garu said, I am really amazed that a 9 yr old is initiating a good discussion... happy for a Sadguru that His own part is being tested and pass!!
Well the key difference between "our" seeing I think is partly because of our background testing individual parts as a machine Vs./or for me biologically, Can there be individual testing of body parts separately?? Om sai ram |

Uncle, you said that you couldn't believe that a 9 year girl ( I just turned 10 in this month June ) browsing the internet. But at schools they let us use the Internet since we were in Kindergarden.( 5 years old.) And we have computers in our class room so we just ask the teacher permission and log on.We have our own username and password to log on. And we have G.T. ( gifted and talented ) where we have projects. Last year we had to buy white, blank,and hard back books through our G.T. teacher and write a book about a place.I wrote about India.And so I had to get on the Internet and get facts,print them out,and write what was in it that was useful and then print out some pictures to go with them. And this year we had to write about who you want to become president among the 3 canidates that are running in our G.T. project. We should present 3 impressive reasons. So I had to get on the Internet and find facts(all by my self) about 1 of the canidates that I want to become president.
